Whew hew! If you’re reading this then it means that finally I have the new website up and rolling. It’s also likely that it’s not exactly 100 percent complete either. The storefront is probably still on Etsy, smh! I know I’m so slow with all this technology shit! Wordpress is scary as hell, but thankfully I have Google and a few knowledgable friends I can bug when I have questions
Anywho, I want to thank you for popping by and saying hello. This whole rebranding process has been completely fun and exciting. It all started out with my discovery of some fascinating Pop Art featuring African-American women and then before you knew it, I had made some totes created, an Etsy shop, and hosted my very first Pop-Up Shop on Black Friday. Mind you, all this happened just two days before Black Friday.
So far, the totes have been a complete hit too!! Being that I’m a woman who just happens to curse like a sailor, it was only fitting that I would offer the totes with cute sayings using swear words. I was nervous about this too, because less face it, folks can be really judgmental. Let me tell you I’m so glad I followed my own mind! To be fair though, I also added non-profanity options for each design too, because hey not everyone curses like a sailor right??!!
I can’t even lie y’all. I had no idea the totes would turn out to be so popular. So, of course my little happy ass decided to create other products too with the Pop Art girls, and that’s when the fun really began. The success all boiled down to an unspoken desire by African-American women to see more products with images that resembled them.
I don’t apologize for answering the call. Based on the love I have been receiving on Social Media, it’s evident that black women all over have been waiting for these types of products to hit the shelves for a while. I’m just glad I’m able to fulfill the need with products that are appealing and desirable. Besides, how could I pass up this opportunity; I’m raising a beautiful black queen myself.
So, I hope that you guys will stick around and come back often to see what’s new in my world and what I discovered amongst the many talented African-American entrepreneurs. Until next time,Peace!!!
P.S. Just as I stated in the beginning my shop is still on Etsy, smh! Go ahead and visit bit.ly/SHOPTOTES. I’ll give you 10% off your purchase. Just use the code: LAUNCHED at checkout.
